Tim has photographed 16 theatrical feature documentaries, and numerous feature documentaries for Netflix, HBO, BBC, Amazon, Hulu, and Apple. He joined the film industry in 1989 starting out first as a film editor after a few years he moved over to the camera department shooting on S16mm and Betacam. In 1993 he was Dping. He was awarded a BAFTA for cinematography and has been nominated for four BAFTA's and four EMMY's for cinematography. Three films won BAFTA’s for best films and three films won EMMY’s for best films with five films have been nominated for BAFTA’s and for films being nominated for EMMY’s, he has won two Grierson Awards and had nine films nominated for Grierson’s.
